Davies, Phil Collinson and Julie Gardner has put in since the 2005 revival, I'm really looking forward to see what direction Moffat will take the series. And I'm not saying this purely because I'm a great admirer of Moffat's work. Maybe it's just me, but I can't shake the feeling that Davies' writing has, since the 2007 Christmas special, taken a slight drop in quality. Of course, having worked for so many years on this massive show, it's understandable that he might be running out of ideas and growing somewhat complacent. Still, I'll be looking forward to the next special with the same — if not even more — excitement that has got me counting the days between regular Doctor Who episodes.
